Weight matters. The Calder candlesticks are solid cast brass, grounding a dining table with a material density you feel when you pick them up. Choose the height that suits your room.
The unlacquered brass will warm and shift in tone over time, recording the evenings you spend with it. Wipe with a soft dry cloth and let the patina settle.
Set a pair on a console or let one anchor a low shelf with a lit taper.
